A few days after the Tennessee Titans waived former Cleveland Browns running back Terrance West, the Baltimore Ravens announced that they signed him to their practice squad.
The Ravens' connection to West has been heavily rumored in the past. In 2014, it was believed that the Ravens were getting ready to select West in the third round of the draft. The Browns, knowing of Baltimore's interest, traded up in front of West and selected the product out of Towson. West, who was born in Baltimore, has to be ecstatic to have ended up with his home club after all, telling a reporter, "this is where I belong."
It's unlikely that West would receive a call up to the Ravens' 53-man roster to face Cleveland again this season, but stranger things have happened. If West shows a greater commitment and better attitude in practice, though, perhaps he'll have a shot at reviving his NFL career with the club in 2016.
