The Browns got the ball first and were moving the ball into field goal range until QB Johnny Manziel overthrew two open receivers, leading to a field goal try from 42 yards by K Travis Coons, which was blocked. It's the third straight game the team has had a field goal blocked. The 49ers went three-and-out, though, and had to punt.

Cleveland started the next drive with a 50-yard run by RB Isaiah Crowell, and that was followed by a 19-yard run by RB Duke Johnson. A completion to WR Brian Hartline got the team to the 1 yard line, and two plays later, Crowell punched it in from the fullback spot to give Cleveland a 7-0 lead.

After the 49ers picked up a first down, their drive stalled as they punted back to Cleveland. The drive started with a big pass play to TE Gary Barnidge for 30 yards. On the first carry of RB Glenn Winston's career, he fumbled the ball, giving the ball to the 49ers near midfield. The 49ers have the ball as we head to the second quarter.
