NFL Power Rankings: Browns Stay Low, Gain Sympathy in Week 13

Aaron Doster-USA TODAY Sports

Here is a summary of how the Cleveland Browns are viewed across mainstream media outlets heading into Week 13 Power Rankings of the NFL season.

CBS Sports - No. 32 (Even from Last Week)

They find new ways to lose every week. Is there any doubt they belong down here at the bottom?

FOX Sports - No. 31 (Even from Last Week)

The Browns have a long way to go, on both sides of the ball, but they will at the very least walk away from the season having found two offensive weapons that no one expected to emerge. TE Gary Barnidge and WR Travis Benjamin carried the offense in Week 12 as they have for most of the season. View season trend.

NFL.com - No. 32 (Down 1 from Last Week)

Only in Cleveland would a team name a quarterback the starter and then demote him to third-string before he took the field. Only in Cleveland would a team lose a game it was lining up to win. Only in Cleveland would a team literally become the first NFL franchise to lose on a walk-off field-goal block TD in regulation. Yuck. #OIC #OnlyInCleveland

Yahoo Sports - No. 32 (Down 1 from Last Week)

Losing that game, ultimately, is better for the Browns. They'll likely get a better draft pick as a result. But wow, that's brutal.

ESPN - No. 32 (Even From from Last Week)

Monday's heartbreaking loss clinched another losing season for the Browns. Since returning to Cleveland in 1999, the Browns will have finished below .500 in 15 of 17 seasons, including each of the past eight.

Covers.com - No. 29 (Down 1 from Last Week)

Josh McCown got hurt (again) and Johnny Manziel got benched (again), leaving Austin Davis to rally the Browns late on Monday. Davis completed 64% of his 284 passes for St Louis last year.

Listed below is a summary table of where teams in the AFC North are ranked this week.
