On Tuesday, the Cleveland Browns officially placed starting right guard John Greco on injured reserve with a sprained MCL. Head coach Mike Pettine previously said that Greco's injury would not require surgery. With only two weeks left on the season, he wouldn't have recovered in time, so right guard will be rookie Cameron Erving's job the rest of the way.
Filling Greco's roster spot is wide receiver Darius Jennings, an undrafted free agent. Jennings spent most of the year on the team's practice squad before being called up to the active roster several weeks ago. The team waived him last week to make room for RB Raheem Mostert, who returned kicks effectively this past Sunday against the Seahawks. Jennings might be active for this week's game over wide receiver Dwayne Bowe, or the club could just be making sure they retain him for camp in 2016.
