After a 0-0 start in the first quarter, things heated up in the second quarter. The Patriots got on the board first with a touchdown pass from QB Tom Brady to WR Brandon LaFell. QB Russell Wilson finally completed a pass mid-way through the second period, and RB Marshawn Lynch later plunged in to tie the game at 7-7.

Brady orchestrated the two-minute offense to perfection, connecting with TE Rob Gronkowski in the corner of the end zone to go up 14-7. The Seahawks stunningly moved the ball into the red zone despite starting their drive with just about 30 seconds left in the half, and with :06 to go, Seattle decided to go for it instead of kicking a field goal. Wilson hit WR Chris Matthews, the former Brown, for the game-tying touchdown. It's 14-14 heading into the half.
