In 2004, the Cleveland Browns drafted quarterback Luke McCown. 11 years later, they are hosting his older brother, Josh McCown, for a free agent visit, according to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN:
Josh McCown is visiting the Browns today and tomorrow, I'm told.— Jeremy Fowler (@JFowlerESPN) February 24, 2015
The Browns' interest in McCown was first reported last week. Teams are able to host him prior to the start of free agency because the Tampa Bay Buccaneers cut him a few weeks ago. McCown just left Buffalo without a contract; will Cleveland consider making him an offer, or are they just doing their due diligence on the free agent market?
I have to imagine they are just keeping all options open. McCown received a big contract from the Buccaneers last year, and if those are his demands again in 2015, I can't imagine the Browns committing that money to him.
