Bob McNair Considering Having the Texans Featured on Hard Knocks

Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

Yesterday, it was reported that the Cleveland Browns could be a frontrunner for landing on HBO's Hard Knocks. The presumption would be that Cleveland would be forced into the gig rather than them volunteering for it. If another team volunteers for the spot, though, Cleveland's front office would be able to breathe a sigh of relief for another year.

At the NFL Owners Meetings today, Houston Texans owner Bob McNair said that he hasn't ruled out his team volunteering for the show this year:

"It’s something we’re considering, but I haven’t decided. It’s a distraction, but it’s something people like to see. Our first responsibility is to do everything we can to win on the field. So the question is, what impact does that have on you?"

We may still have awhile to go before an official team is picked for the 2015 edition of Hard Knocks. Last year, the Atlanta Falcons were announced for the 2014 edition in mid-June.
