Tonight is a big moment for the Cleveland Browns organization as they will have their 2015 uniform unveiling. On Monday, the team announced that nine players will model the new uniforms, presumably corresponding with the nine different uniform combinations the team will be able to use moving forward.
The nine players who will model jerseys include:
- WR Dwayne Bowe
- WR Brian Hartline
- WR Taylor Gabriel
- LT Joe Thomas
- DE Armonty Bryant
- ILB Karlos Dansby
- ILB Chris Kirksey
- OLB Barkevious Mingo
- SS Donte Whitner
Early projections have the Browns with orange, brown, and white tops, along with orange, brown, and white bottoms. That would allow for nine different pairings (i.e. orange-orange, orange-brown, orange-white, etc). It seems a little surprising that CB Joe Haden is not one of the players who will be at the event, since this type of event seems to fit his persona perfectly. Also of note is that the Browns aren't showcasing the uniforms on many 300+ pound type of players -- you have Thomas, but that's it.
Per the Browns, nine different alumni will also be at tonight's event, including Jim Brown, Greg Pruitt, Hanford Dixon, Jamel White, Dan Fike, Bob Golic, John Thierry, Felix Wright, and Kevin Mack. It is unclear if they will be modeling uniform combinations as well.
