2015 NFL Mock Draft: Cincinnati Bengals Select WR Dorial Green-Beckham at No. 21

Brian Spurlock-USA TODAY Sports

With the No. 21 pick in the DBN 2015 NFL Mock Draft, the Cincinnati Bengals select...

Dorial Green-Beckham, WR, Missouri

The selection and write-up were made by styrofoamboots:

If I'm Mike Brown, my main priority this offseason would be to add talent to the offensive tackle position.  Left tackle Andrew Whitworth is now 33 years old and will be a free agent in 2016 along with right tackle Andre Smith. Unfortunately, the tackles left after Collins and Flowers don't offer great value at this pick. On the bright side, this draft appears to have many quality tackles that could be available in the second round.

Nearly as alarming has been the drop off in sacks over the last year. After recording at least 45 sacks in the three previous years, the Bengals only notched 20 in 2014. However, I think Geno Atkins will come back stronger with another year between him and his knee injury. The pressure he provides up the middle can help generate more sacks for the rest of the defense. And again, I don't see great value in adding a defensive lineman here with Williams, Shelton, and Brown already gone.

Our cross state rivals go in to the 2015 draft a team needing a piece to put them over the top and finally bring them the playoff win that they've come so close to in five of the last six seasons. So with the 21st pick, the Cincinnati Bengals select wide receiver Dorial Green-Beckham from The University of Missouri. Talent wise, I truly believe DGB is a top 5 pick. His size/speed combination is second to none and he has elite ball skills to go along with agility that is rarely seen in a person his size. I don't think this would be a wise pick for many teams because of the character concerns, but the Bengals seem like a great landing spot. The rookie steps in next to one of the league's best receivers in A.J. Green, giving him a great example of what it takes to be great. With this pick, the Bengals provide a big new target for Dalton and can, perhaps, start scoring touchdowns in the playoffs instead of missing field goals.

It'd be interesting to see the Bengals go with an All-Star lineup at wide receiver, but when healthy, I think they have enough talent at the position.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are up next, led by Marquess of Rockingham.
