Cleveland Browns Sign 4th Round Draft Pick, WR Vince Mayle

Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

The Cleveland Browns signed WR Vince Mayle on Monday. Taken in the 4th round at No. 123 overall, Mayle agreed to a four-year deal. According to OverTheCap's pre-determined draft chart, Mayle's contract will be worth about $2.763 million, with a $483,152 signing bonus.

Mayle was the team's seventh selection of the draft, and the second of two picks made in the fourth round. He is 6-2, 225-pounds, and played college football at Washington State. He will wear No. 85 with the Browns. Mayle is the first wide receiver the Browns have drafted since WR Travis Benjamin, who was also a fourth rounder in 2012. Mayle is going to have a tough time finding a spot on the depth chart as a rookie. Veterans Dwayne Bowe and Brian Hartline will be ahead of him, as will Andrew Hawkins. With how impressive Taylor Gabriel was as a rookie, one would think that he'll have a significant spot in the rotation again. Benjamin is primed to be the team's punt returner, leaving Mayle as a fifth or sixth option heading into the season.
