Cleveland Browns' OTA Sessions to Begin This Tuesday

Organized team activities (OTAs) will begin this Tuesday for the Cleveland Browns. Per the collective bargaining agreement, teams may conduct 10 days of OTAs take place over a span of four weeks, under the following conditions:

  • No live contact is permitted, but team practice is allowed via 7-on-7, 9-on-9 and 11-on-11 drills. Special teams drills are also allowed at this time.
  • Players can wear helmets during this phase, but no shells.

The Browns' ten practice sessions will take place on the following ten dates:

  1. Tuesday, May 26th
  2. Wednesday, May 27th
  3. Friday, May 29th
  4. Monday, June 1st
  5. Tuesday, June 2nd
  6. Thursday, June 4th
  7. Monday, June 8th
  8. Tuesday, June 9th
  9. Thursday, June 11th
  10. Friday, June 12th

After the OTA sessions are over, the Browns will conduct a mandatory minicamp from June 16-18, their last offseason program until training camp begins in late July. The OTA sessions are voluntary, and so far, it sounds like the following players will either be limited or not participating: WR Vince Mayle (thumb), TE Randall Telfer (foot), NT Danny Shelton (finishing degree), NT Phil Taylor (knee), S Tashaun Gipson (holdout), and CB Ifo Ekpre-Olomu (knee).
