RB Duke Johnson, WR Vince Mayle to Head to LA for NFLPA Rookie Premiere

The 21st annual NFLPA Rookie Premiere kicks off this week in Los Angeles, CA from Thursday, May 28th to Sunday, May 31st. This year, the two players who will be representing the Cleveland Browns include:

• RB Duke Johnson (3rd round pick)
• WR Vince Mayle (4th round pick)

What is the event about?

"Beyond providing a platform to learn about the business of football and benefits of their union as they game plan for their new careers, Rookie Premiere gives players a chance to showcase their personalities so that the NFLPA team can use that insight to connect the right players with the right brands to tell their story."

Johnson and Mayle will wear the Browns' new uniforms, so it'll be interesting to see which ones are provided to them at the event, as the combination might be a clue as to what the team's primary home uniform will be.

The Browns have an OTA session on Friday, May 29th, so it is expected that both players will be absent from that practice. Mayle is dealing with a thumb injury anyway, and Johnson already missed the first day of OTAs due to travel issues.
