The Cleveland Browns announced on Thursday that NT Ishmaa'ily Kitchen has officially signed his tender agreement, which was an original round tender. Back on April 20th, ILB Craig Robertson (2nd round tender) and S Johnson Bademosi (original round tender) both signed their tenders, and ESPN's Jeremy Fowler had reported that Kitchen was going to sign his "soon." As it turns out, "soon" ended up being over a month later, but no harm was done.
The only member of the Browns who has not signed their tender is FS Tashaun Gipson, who was just named to the NFL's Top 100 list. Gipson is skipping OTAs in large part because he's upset with how the Browns offered him a 2nd round tender instead of a 1st round tender.
The 2015 tenders are $3.354 million for the 1st round tender, $2.356 million for the 2nd round tender, and $1.542 million for original round tenders, so you can see how Gipson feels he was shorted $1 million by the team after having a breakout season. If Gipson does not sign his tender by June 15, the Browns would "have the right to reduce their offer to 110 percent of Gipson’s 2014 salary - or $627,000," per Pat McManamon of ESPN.
