Cleveland Browns Sign WR Josh Lenz and DL Christian Tupou

Brian Spurlock-USA TODAY Sports

The Cleveland Browns announced the signing of WR Josh Lenz and DL Christian Tupou on Saturday, bringing their roster back up to 90 players. The two open spots had been created earlier this week when the team waived OL Nick McDonald and LS Christian Yount. Here is some background information on Lenz and Tupou:

  • WR Josh Lenz - 6-0, 195 lbs. - Lenz was an undrafted free agent who was signed by the Chicago Bears in 2013. He was off-and-on the Seahawks' practice squad in 2013 before being signed to the Colts' practice squad and even got called up for a playoff game at the end of the season. He was on the Colts' practice squad for all of last season, but was waived by the club two weeks ago.

  • DL Christian Tupou - 6-4, 305 lbs. - After bouncing around practice squads for several years, the Browns added Tupou to their practice squad last October. He was with the club until early May, when he was waived. Now he is back, occupying a defensive lineman spot that was occupied by Calvin Barnett earlier this week.
