According to Pro Football Focus, there are only 12 unsigned draft picks left in the NFL, and one of them belongs to the Cleveland Browns: RB Duke Johnson. At the end of May, Johnson's agent told Mary Kay Cabot of the Plain Dealer that Johnson has no plans of holding out.
"We're looking at all of the deals that relate to Duke and just trying to find a middle ground with the team,'' said Johnson's agent. "We're in constant communication with the Browns front office and having good dialogue.''
Johnson participated in the majority of OTAs, only missing a few at the beginning due to personal reasons and then having to fly out to Los Angeles for the NFLPA Rookie Premiere. In his short time at work, though, Johnson has drawn praise:
Duke Johnson has been the most impressive of their RBs. Versatility and explosiveness shows. Will be an interesting RB camp battle.
