In each of our training camp previews, we conduct a poll at the end of the post. The polls are intended to gauge fan perception about certain players or roles on the Cleveland Browns heading into training camp. They help set the initial expectations that fans have on certain players. Here is a summary of each of those polls for the wide receivers:
--------------------------------
It is nearly a 50/50 split when it comes to fans trying to decide who should receive more snaps between Brian Hartline and Taylor Gabriel. I voted for Gabriel, but the truth of the matter is that I also think in any given game, both receivers should be on the field for about the same amount of snaps. The point I was trying to emphasize with the poll is that Cleveland should roll with Dwayne Bowe and Andrew Hawkins receiving the most reps, with Gabriel and Hartline each rotating in for three-receiver sets. Don't ignore either of them, though. [Read Part 1 of the WR Preview]

My vote went to "rarely or inactive." Let's look at the Browns' victory over the Steelers last year and how the wide receiver reps were distributed in that game:
Andrew Hawkins had 54% of the snaps, followed by Taylor Gabriel (47%), Miles Austin (41%) and Travis Benjamin (41%). The following week, the numbers were Hawkins (74%), Austin (74%), Gabriel (57%), and Benjamin (46%). Cleveland consistently went with a four-receiver rotation. Bowe, Hartline, Hawkins, and Gabriel should be the top four receivers this year. Yes, it's possible to reduce each of their reps to include Vince Mayle around 15-20% of the time. If he has a heck of a camp, then it could work. I just don't expect it to happen. [Read Part 2 of the WR Preview]

I thought there would be a favorite who emerged between these three, but I wasn't sure who that would be. Instead, all three players receiver a good amount of votes, with Josh Lenz leading the way. [Read Part 3 of the WR Preview]
