According to Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post, the Cleveland Browns have waived DL Tory Slater:
Browns have cut defensive lineman Tory Slater after he passed his physical after being on physically unable to perform list, per a source

When rookies reported to Berea last week, Slater was one of three rookies who the Browns had placed on an injury list. Slater's injury was undisclosed at the time, but Wilson is reporting it as a hamstring injury. With the team having a surplus of defensive linemen -- they will have 11 remaining after cutting Slater -- we'll see if the team tries to bring in a player at a different position.
Fans were pretty intrigued by Slater, who posted impressive sack numbers in college, compared to the rest of the defensive lineman at the bottom of the roster. Cleveland's roster is back down to 89 players, so expect another signing soon.
