In each of our training camp previews, we conduct a poll at the end of the post. The polls are intended to gauge fan perception about certain players or roles on the Cleveland Browns heading into training camp. They help set the initial expectations that fans have on certain players. Here is a summary of each of those polls for the defensive line:

Maybe the real question is whether we were being too conservative with Danny Shelton's snap count numbers, considering he played around 80% of the snaps in college. 58% of fans favor Shelton receiving more reps than Taylor, and 87% think Shelton should, at a bare minimum, receive more snaps than Phil Taylor.
Also, bonus points go to Shelton, who retweeted a link to our first preview. [Read Part 1 of the DL Preview]

I had a feeling that Ishmaa'ily Kitchen would be the odd man out in the poll, although he did receive some support in our comments section. Tory Slater,Jamie Meder, and Jacobbi McDaniel all received a fair amount of support from fans. Slater had the most votes, but was not a runaway winner. It's easy to see why each of the three players drew relatively even support -- McDaniel was with the club all of last year, Meder is a local kid who showed some spark in Week 17, and Slater is the new guy who piled up some sacks in college.
