Washington Redskins vs. Cleveland Browns - 2nd Quarter Game Thread

On the Redskins' first drive of the game, CB Justin Gilbert allowed WR Pierre Garcon to get wide open deep, but Garcon dropped the pass and Washington had to punt. QB Josh McCown looked impressive on his first drive with the club, going 5-of-5 for 33 yards and a touchdown pass to WR Travis Benjamin. The Browns lead 7-0 heading into the second quarter of play.

The quarter ended on a down note for the Redskins, who appear to have lost starting TE Niles Paul for the season with a broken leg. The Redskins converted a 4th-and-1 run play to get into the red zone, but the defense held Washington to a field goal. QB Johnny Manziel is in the game as Cleveland holds a 7-3 lead to begin the second quarter.
