The Redskins received the ball to begin the game and proceeded to take 7:20 of game clock up with a 12-play, 75-yard touchdown drive that was capped off with an 8-yard slant route from QB Kirk Cousins to TE Jordan Reed. That gave Washington a 7-0 lead.
Cleveland got a first down on their opening offensive possession but had to punt right back to the Redskins. A 50-yard pass interference penalty on the Browns quickly turned field position in Washington’s favor again. The drive was finished with another touchdown pass to Reed, this time from nine yards out, to make it a 14-0 game. This is against an offense that was terrible in the red zone through three games.
