Injury Notes
- Believe it or not, there are just two players officially ruled out for the Browns this week: QB Cody Kessler (concussion) and WR Corey Coleman (hand). Coleman returned to practice this week and might be cleared for catching passes next week.
- The other big injury situation to look out for is at the cornerback position. For the third straight week, CB Joe Haden was limited with a groin injury. During practice this week, the team’s other starter, CB Jamar Taylor, started to be limited with a groin injury of his own. Both players are listed as questionable for Sunday. There is some more optimism this week about Haden actually giving-it-a-go. He might have to if Taylor can’t go.
- Players who are back from injury are QB Josh McCown and TE Seth DeValve. Each of them has missed a month or two of action. McCown will start at quarterback for the Browns this week; it’d be a surprise if DeValve suddenly got a boost in playing time, though.
- The Jets have the more pressing injury concerns this week. OLB Darron Lee is out for the second straight week with an ankle injury. Starting C Nick Mangold (ankle) and CB Buster Skrine (knee) are both listed as doubtful. A few other key players are listed as questionable -- that includes LT Ryan Clady (shoulder) and DL Muhammad Wilkerson (ankle). Wilkerson did not play last week, so he might be a game-time decision.
