If the Cleveland Browns can’t win with the talent they have, then maybe mother nature can throw a few variables into the mix to hopefully swing something in their favor.
Cleveland has yet to see its first snowfall of the season, and on Friday, temperatures are expected to hit 70 degrees. That will change over the weekend, with colder temperatures leading into Sunday, where there is reportedly a 70% chance of lake effect snow with temperatures only reaching 35 degrees. Winds could be around 30 MPH, something that Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger talked about when interviewed on Thursday:
“You have to spin the ball,” said Roethlisberger. “I am not a guy that when I throw the ball I spin it a lot. I will wear a glove this week in practice. If it’s going to be 30-mile an hour wind, I am going to have to wear a glove on Sunday. The preparation will be to wear a glove to help you spin the ball more.”
Browns rookie QB Cody Kessler will be dealing with the challenge too. He’s already come under scrutiny for his lack of zip on passes thrown downfield, and I’m sure heavy wind gusts won’t help matters.
It’s been awhile since we’ve seen a good snow bowl in Cleveland, so I hope it comes down heavy on Sunday. How about you, Browns fans?
