In the second quarter, the Steelers’ dominating time of possession continued, but Cleveland’s defense held Pittsburgh to another field goal — this time from 33 yards out — to make it a 6-0 game. Cleveland’s offense could do nothing again, and the Steelers worked the two-minute drill to get in scoring range again.
The Steelers went for a touchdown pass with 0:05, and the clock read 0:00 as the pass went incomplete. A flag was called on the Browns, so Pittsburgh got an untimed down and went for it again. The pass to WR Antonio Brown was incomplete, but CB Joe Haden was flagged for pass interference. From the one-yard line, Pittsburgh went for it again, and this time got the 1-yard touchdown run by RB Le’Veon Bell. The two-point conversion makes it 14-0 at the half, and Pittsburgh will get the ball first.
