"A Pro Day of orchestrated throws, I don't know what that tells you. It's a piece of it that people blow up into this great thing. I went to a lot of games and practices this fall. I've seen them throw the ball."
That is what former Cleveland Browns general manager Ray Farmer said a couple of years ago when asked if he would be attending the Pro Day of QB Johnny Manziel. While Farmer went against-the-grain and skipped Pro Days, Hue Jackson and company are taking them seriously, especially when it comes to the quarterback position. Jackson was at California's Pro Day on Friday to see QB Jared Goff, a player they could end up selecting with the No. 2 overall pick of the draft.
While Jackson was there, he was interviewed by the NFL Network, including good friend Mike Silver. Jackson had nothing but praise for Goff:

Multiple people in attendance noted that Browns assistant head coach Pep Hamilton dumped water on the ball and had Goff throw it, which others said is a pretty rare move for a Pro Day:
#Browns Pep Hamilton just dumped water on the ball for Goff to throw a wet ball. And Goff is doing it. Awesome.

Goff said Browns didn't give him heads up on throwing drills w a wet football -- pretty rare to see at a pro day but had no problem doing it

I'm fascinated w/Browns asking Goff to throw wet balls after scripted workout. Usually teams don't show as much interest during team pro day

Additionally, Goff's hand size was widely discussed, especially since it grew by 1/8" since the Combine, if you are to believe the measurement system:
Goff's hand size "grew" to 9 1/8 today at pro day.

Starters in the NFL who have same hand size: Tannehill, Derek Carr & Colin Kaepernick.
I'm sure the Browns will schedule a private workout with Goff and a couple of other quarterbacks leading up to the draft.
