- Tuggle has three years of experience in the NFL. The minimum base salary for such a player in 2016 is $675,000, so he's only making a hair above the minimum at $700,000.
- When thinking about compensatory picks for 2017, Tuggle should not count against the Browns as a free agent added in 2016. According to Over the Cap, the minimum average salary to qualify for the formula is estimated to be around $950,000, and Tuggle is obviously below that threshold.
- In terms of where he ranks on the team, Tuggle is averaging the least amount of money per year among the Browns' four inside linebackers. If the team does not add any inside linebackers through the draft, it's reasonable to think that he'll stay on as a depth player this year. Ultimately, though, he'll have to fight for his job once training camp rolls around.
