While I liked the original mock draft a lot better (which left Ezekiel Elliott and William Jackson III on the board with just a few more picks to go), Andrew Billings has the potential to be a special nose tackle/1 technique that dominates opposing centers.

Looking at needs, the Raiders filled holes at safety (Reggie Nelson replacing the retiring Charles Woodson) and offensive line (signing Kelechi Osemele and re-signing Donald Penn; all the stud tackles were off the board anyways). I would have been tempted to fill a need with cover cornerback William Jackson III or a special weapon that never needs to come off the field in running back Ezekiel Elliott, but those guys were off the board.

This pick is pretty much a best player available selection. It gives the Raiders defense another formidable defensive lineman for opposing offenses to worry about, and supplements Khalil Mack and his 15 sacks in 2015.
