Ezekiel Elliott the Source of More Trade Down Rumors for the Browns

Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

Yesterday, we talked about some of the rumors out there that the Cleveland Browns could still shuffle around a few times in the first round of the draft. Those rumors were focused on teams being interested in an offensive tackle at No. 8 overall. According to other rumors, though, the Browns are actively having discussions about trading back to a team that wants to grab RB Ezekiel Elliott. This one comes from Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network:

Tony Pauline of Draft Insider is also saying today that "there's a chance the Browns could trade down again, this time to the Miami Dolphins who would move up for Ezekiel Elliott." Some draft rumors are complete fabrications, but I think the Browns' trade down interests have legitimate legs. Just imagine if the Browns are making inquiries to five or six different teams about Elliot. If three or four of those teams aren't even remotely interested, someone in one of those organizations might leak out the fact that Cleveland made a call.
