Mel Kiper released his fourth mock draft of the year this morning. His first mock draft had the Cleveland Browns going with QB Jared Goff at No. 2 overall. His next two versions had the team taking QB Carson Wentz. Mock drafters are known to mix things up between versions, which actually makes it a bit of a surprise that he continues to stick with Wentz at No. 2 overall for the Browns:
Carson Wentz, QB, North Dakota State - He's not the top QB on my board, but this isn't a prospect ranking, it's a projection. The addition of Robert Griffin III does provide some added developmental insurance here so they don't have to start a rookie, and it also gives them a chance to wait on a QB pick if they really like one of the guys who could be around in Round 2.
He has Goff dropping to No. 7 overall, where the San Francisco 49ers would take him. RB Ezekiel Elliott seems to be skyrocketing up the charts lately, and Kiper projected him to go No. 6 overall to the Baltimore Ravens.
