The order of the Cleveland Browns' 2016 preseason schedule was released on Thursday, and for the third year in a row, Cleveland has a game that will be nationally televised. Here is a rundown of the schedule:
Preseason Schedule for the Browns
- Preseason Game 1: Cleveland at Green Bay (August 11-15)
- Preseason Game 2: Atlanta at Cleveland (August 18-22)
- Preseason Game 3: Cleveland at Tampa Bay (August 26, 8:00 PM, on CBS)
- Preseason Game 4: Chicago at Cleveland (September 1-2)
The Browns are playing the Buccaneers and the Bears for the third and fourth preseason games for the second year in a row. The game against the Buccaneers, which is on a Friday, will be nationally televised on CBS, which takes a game away from WEWS, the city's local preseason partner.
Hue Jackson's first preseason game as head coach of the Browns will be in the first preseason week, although the Packers will have already played one contest in the Hall of Fame game. The most intriguing game of the preseason on paper comes in the second contest against the Falcons. Center Alex Mack will return to Cleveland to face his former team for the first time, likely going up against big nose tackle Danny Shelton. Not many people are even left from the Kyle Shanahan days in Cleveland, but that could also play a bit of a factor too.
What do you think of the Browns' preseason schedule? Are there any games that jump off the page to you?
