The 22nd annual NFLPA Rookie Premiere kicks off this week in Los Angeles, CA from Thursday, May 19th to Sunday, May 21st. This year, there will be three players representing the Cleveland Browns, including:
- WR Corey Coleman (1st round pick)
- QB Cody Kessler (3rd round pick)
- WR Ricardo Louis (4th round pick)
What is the event about?
"NFLPA Rookie Premiere presents an unparalleled opportunity for our partners to interact with the promising young marketing stars entering the league," said Ahmad Nassar, president of NFL Players Inc. "Learning about the business and benefits of their union as the players plan for their new career is a tremendous advantage. Showcasing their personalities and passions allows us to connect the right players with the right brands to tell their stories, and only adds to what the NFLPA does day after day."
Coleman, Kessler, and Louis should have the opportunity to model in uniform, sign trading cards, and take part in a couple of interviews. 41 rookies are expected to be at the event, so Cleveland will be more-than-represented compared to the average team.
The Browns' first set of OTA sessions run from today through Thursday, so it's possible than Coleman, Kessler, and/or Louis could be absent during Thursday's OTA session. Or, if the session is in the morning, they might head out later in the day -- considering they are right next to an airport -- to catch the flight to LA. We'll pass along any information related to the Browns' players at the NFL Rookie Premiere as it comes along.
