If the NFL Draft is a crapshoot, then signing undrafted free agents is a complete shot in the dark.

Regardless, the Cleveland Browns seem to be snatching some solid UDFAs.

Chad Reuter of NFL.com ranked the Browns' undrafted free agent class as the second best in the NFL thus far, according to an unofficial list from NFL.com.

As Nathan Zegura noted in a reply to the tweet, the club has not announced the full UFDA class, as that news is coming soon. However, NFL.com has the following players to the Browns thus far:

LB Dominique Alexander
K Andrew Baggett
CB Kenya Dennis
TE J.P. Holtz
CB Tracy Howard
RB Paul James
DT Nile Lawrence-Stample
DT Kyle Rose
FB Patrick Skov
LS Kirk Willis

In his analysis of the draft class, Reuter, a draft analyst for NFL.com, wrote this of the Browns' haul:

After the draft, the Browns found two very different but quite talented nose tackles in Nile Lawrence-Stample and Kyle Rose. Despite having 14 picks, the team hadn't addressed that spot ... probably because they knew they could get backup candidates in free agency. Cornerback Kenya Dennis is an athletic player with potential. On offense, tight end J.P. Holtz is a solid pass-catcher. Paul James from Rutgers would have been a mid-round pick without the injury issues, so don't be surprised if he shocks some NFL folks with his explosiveness in the preseason. Patrick Skov is a special-teamer and contributor at fullback who could stick.

Hopefully a player or two will stick with the Browns from this solid crop of prospects. Undrafted free agents can be big bonuses for an NFL team.
