Fan perception: what we learned about the Browns' tight ends heading into training camp

Here is a summary of each of our training camp preview polls for the Cleveland Browns’ tight ends:


Although Tyler Eifert was a key part of the Bengals' offense in 2015 with 13 touchdowns, he only had 615 yards receiving. The year before, Jermaine Gresham topped out at 460 yards receiving for the Bengals. If we are to think that Gary Barnidge will even come close to a 1,000+ yard season, then it makes sense that Seth DeValve’s stats are pretty low, despite the hype surrounding him. History with Hue Jackson says the No. 2 tight end will have <200 yards, but I’ll go with the 200-399 crowd. [Read Part 1 of the TE Preview]


Fans are still hanging on to the hope that Randall Telfer can be this team’s blocking tight end, and I’m in the same boat. We didn’t get to see him all of last year, so this is almost like his rookie season. [Read Part 2 of the TE Preview]
