In a fun exercise, Cleveland Browns fan voted yesterday on whether they would spin the quarterback roulette wheel! That means the team would be subject to a new starting quarterback, which could be someone enticing like Andrew Luck or something as disastrous as the Jets’ current QB situation. Considering the Browns’ quarterback situation isn’t anything people are bragging about, it was no surprise to see that 79% of the votes said to “SPIN THE WHEEL!”

Is the excitement building inside of you? The wheel is below, and here is how it will work. Each team will be assigned a number 1-32 in clockwise order, starting with the Tennessee Titans. That means the Titans are No. 1, the Vikings are No. 2, the Browns are No. 17, and so on. I am generating a random number — are you ready? There is no turning back, so here we go!

And the roulette lands on...
DEREK CARR, OAKLAND RAIDERS
That's a fantastic selection, and gives the Browns a mulligan for taking Johnny Manziel in 2014. Last year in his second year, Carr threw for nearly 4,000 yards and had 32 touchdowns to 13 interceptions, a QB rating of 91.1. In terms of setting the Browns up long-term, this change-in-quarterback does exactly that.
Sadly, there is no real roulette wheel in the NFL. But, as crazy as this sounds, Robert Griffin III is just one year older than Carr. If Hue Jackson can resurrect the career of the former first overall pick, maybe by this time next year, we’ll be saying, “no frickin’ way” when it comes to spinning the wheel.
