QB Austin Davis played quarterback for the Browns to begin the second half; the club got near field goal range, but couldn’t convert on a fourth down attempt. The Packers got in range for K Mason Crosby’s second 54-yard attempt of the game, which he drilled to put Green Bay up 13-5 mid-way through the third quarter.
After Davis continued to look bad, P Andy Lee got a punt downed at the 1 yard line, thanks to the great work of CB Tracy Howard and WR Ricardo Louis. The defense forced a punt from the 1 yard line. A good return by RB Raheem Mostert, followed by a 15-yard late hit penalty, gave the Browns the ball at 10 yard line. On the first pass by QB Cody Kessler, he hooked up with WR Rashard Higgins to make it a 13-11 game. The two-point attempt was no good. That’s where we stand heading into the final quarter of play.
