Browns waive CB K’Waun Williams

NFL: Cleveland Browns at Cincinnati Bengals Aaron Doster-USA TODAY Sports

There will be no redemption for CB K’Waun Williams in Cleveland. The team waived him Monday afternoon, which was the final move needed for the team to get their roster down to 75 players.

The team had suspended Williams for two weeks back on August 16th, so that suspension was set to come to an end tomorrow. Of all the moves that the Browns have made, the one I regret seeing the most is with Williams. While I understand Hue Jackson’s position, Williams was still a very young player who had a couple of solid years as a nickelback.

I would be very surprised if the San Francisco 49ers let Williams go through the waiver wire without placing a claim on him.
