On Monday, the Cleveland Browns announced that they had signed DL Chigbo Anunoby. He takes the roster spot of DL Kyle Rose, who was waived and had missed several recent practices due to injury. Rose had originally signed with the team as an undrafted free agent in early May.
Anunoby (6-3, 316 lbs) has been in the NFL since 2012, but has always been a practice squad type of player, bouncing between the Indianapolis Colts, Washington Redskins, Tennessee Titans, and most recently the Minnesota Vikings. The Vikings waived Anunoby prior to the start of the 2015 season, and he’s been out of a job since.
If you’re interested in a detailed scouting report on him, DBN’s Tim Miller pointed us in the right direction.
DL Anunoby could have 0-tech/3-tech versatility in #Browns scheme, could allow Nick Hayden to split reps between 3-tech & 5-tech.

Grabbing another 0t/3t a bit odd given glaring hole at 5-tech (until Nassib steps up). Why I speculate if Hayden bounces out to 5t.
