According to Alex Marvez of the Sporting News, the Cleveland Browns have hired Bob Wylie as their new offensive line coach.
Not sure if out there but Bob Wylie new.@browns offensive line coach
— Alex Marvez (@alexmarvez) January 14, 2017
Wylie is 65 years old and has coached with a ton of different college and NFL teams. Most recently, he has been an offensive line coach with the CFL's Winnipeg Blue Bombers since 2014. Before that, he was the Oakland Raiders’ offensive line coach for one year in 2011. That was the same year that Hue Jackson was Oakland’s head coach. With Pep Hamitlon having departed and Hal Hunter basically being his offensive line coach, it’s not a surprise to see Jackson prefer to go with someone he presumably had a good relationship with in 2011.
