The Cleveland Browns announced the following inactives for their Week 5 game against the New York Jets:
QB Cody Kessler, WR Kenny Britt, OL Zach Banner, OL Marcus Martin, OLB Jamie Collins, DL T.Y. McGill, and DL Caleb Brantley.
A few other notes:
- The only inactive we didn’t have was Brantley being down. With DT Danny Shelton returning, the team opted to inactivate both McGill and Brantley. Getting DE Myles Garrett back probably helped with swapping in two defensive linemen and then swapping two out.
- Speaking of Garrett being back, the team announced he will start in place of DE Carl Nassib.
- With Britt out, WR Ricardo Louis will start in his place.
- The Jets' inactives include QB Christian Hackenberg, RB Matt Forte, DE Kony Ealy, OLB Josh Martin, OLB Obum Gwacham, CB Darryl Roberts, and CB Juston Burris. The big story there is both of their third cornerback options being out.
