It’s official: the Cleveland Browns own the No. 1 and No. 4 picks of the 2018 NFL Draft.

We already knew that the Browns would be picking first overall for the second year in a row, but with the Houston Texans falling to the Indianapolis Colts 22-13 in Week 17, that locks the Texans into pick No. 4. And, as we all know, when Cleveland traded out of No. 12 this past season to allow the Texans to draft QB DeShaun Watson, they in turn picked up their first round pick for 2018.

It looked like that trade might not pay off at first, because Watson led the Texans to a 3-4 start to the year before suffering a torn ACL. Houston went on to lose all but one of their remaining games, finishing the season at 4-12. The New York Giants will pick 2nd at 3-13, and the Colts will pick 3rd, also at 4-12, but with a lesser SOS.

The Browns also own the Texans’ second round pick. Depending on the outcome of the Saints-Buccaneers game this afternoon, that pick could be as high as No. 35 (i.e. they could pick ahead of the Colts).

Browns’ First Four 2018 Draft Choices

  • No. 1 overall (confirmed)
  • No. 4 overall (confirmed) - from Texans
  • No. 33 overall (confirmed)
  • Either No. 35, No. 36, or No. 37 overall - from Texans
