With Myles Garrett being the favorite to be the No. 1 overall pick in the draft to be selected by the Cleveland Browns, he made headlines the other day for a video that ESPN.com posted of him. The video, which is brief, shows him grinning with a joking plea to Jerry Jones and Jason Garrett to trade QB Tony Romo and a couple of picks to Cleveland for the No. 1 overall pick, so that Dallas can take him.

The video was from December and was clearly done in a playful manner with a callout to his home team. However, many people jumped on the fact that it was a turnoff and that he didn’t want to play in Cleveland. How many people seriously think that, based on the playful video above, that Garrett would not be a worthy draft pick for Cleveland now?
Garrett has since followed up by saying that the video was supposed to be funny and that he didn’t think it would go anywhere. He also described the motivation he’d have for playing for a team like Cleveland and would relish in the opportunity to help turn a franchise around:
