The New York Jets certainly still think that Josh McCown can play...or helicopter. According to Albert Breer of The MMQB, the Jets signed McCown to a 1-year deal worth $6 million, all of which is fully guaranteed. There are some incentives he can reach that can make it worth up to $13 million:
Josh McCown's 1-year deal with Jets is worth $6 million fully guaranteed. Also has $2M in playtime incentives, $5M in team-based incentives.

$2M in playtime incentives – McCown gets $125K for each game he plays 50% of the snaps in. $5M in team incentives: playoffs, SB, SB win.

And just to put a bow on it, McCown gets $2M to make playoffs, $1.5M to make SB51, and $1.5M to win it (p/t thresholds attached to those).

The funny thing is that McCown is presumably the Jets’ starter by default. The only two quarterbacks on their roster are Bryce Petty and Christian Hackenberg. They did have a visit lined up with Jay Cutler, but that would figure to be “off” now.
