During this morning’s meeting with reporters at the NFL Annual League Meeting, Browns head coach Hue Jackson told Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal that he hopes that Cleveland is not selected for HBO’s Hard Knocks:
Jackson reiterated what he said in January at the Senior Bowl about the possibility of appearing on HBO's Hard Knocks: "I don't think I can say no, but hopefully our organization can."
Despite making that statement, ESPN Cleveland’s Tony Grossi says, via a league source, that the Browns have been told that they will not be appearing on Hard Knocks this year:
Per a source, Browns have been told they will not be drafted to appear on Hard Knocks. Multiple teams being considered. Browns are relieved.

It would certainly be interesting to see Cleveland featured one year, and a team hasn’t been officially selected yet for 2017, so never say never. But for now, it looks like Cleveland is out of consideration.
