It’s time to latch on to some more fantasies about the whole Josh Gordon-Cleveland Browns situation working itself out one day. We don’t have any news about his application for reinstatement to the NFL, but this morning, Tony Grossi of ESPN Cleveland dropped the following nugget from Sashi Brown, the team’s Executive Vice President of Football Operations.
Browns EVP Sashi Brown on Josh Gordon: We’re not in position at wide receiver to turn down a guy like Josh if we feel he’s settled himself.

The if remains the big hurdle for Gordon to clear, as it’s been several years of issues with him. However, this is the first time we’ve heard a member of the organization speak out in a way that says the team is not only open to keeping Gordon, but “not in position to turning away a talent like that.”
