This pick was very simple for me. With EDGE and QB already addressed with the first two picks the next major need I saw for the Browns was safety. It worked out perfectly too because Baker is my favorite safety after Hooker and Adams. Baker is a do-it-all type of player and kind of reminds me of Tyrann Mathieu. He can play as a ball hawking safety, come up to the line and cover someone in the slot or a tight end and he isn't afraid to come up and make a hit on someone either. The only thing is he is only 5'10" but he doesn't allow that to hold him back and was still one of the best safeties in college football this year. I think he is a player that Gregg Williams can have a lot of fun with next year and could fix one of the safety positions.

Pokorny: Between three different mock drafters, the Browns ended up with DE Myles Garrett, QB Mitch Trubisky, and S Budda Baker. When I did the SB Nation Writers’ Mock Draft, that is the same grouping I ended up with for the first three picks.
