The Bears are in a similar situation as the Cleveland Browns. They have holes at pass rushing D-lineman, offensive line (tackle) secondary, and QB.

While there are numerous holes to fill, Solomon Thomas seems like the best value and a potential impact player on a defensive line that needs help. Thomas could provide the spark needed to begin revitalizing the pass rush. The Bears have invested in their secondary, and there are still holes, serious thought was given to Jamal Adams, but in the end I think the choice is a difference maker in rushing the passer.

Consideration was also given to pursuing the QBOTF, but taking any of these prospects at #3 seemed to be too great a reach, although one other mock has them taking Watson here, with the intent of him being a year removed from taking the helm.

Like the Browns, lots of holes, lots of options.

Pokorny: Near the end of the season, I was banking on two of top three teams drafting a quarterback. We’ve seen a big shift in that mentality over the past couple of months. With no trades allowed, Thomas is a good pick...but I think the Bears just might pull the trigger on a quarterback anyway.
