The Cleveland Browns signed RB Matthew Dayes on Wednesday. He is among the first three players of the team’s ten-person draft class to be signed.
Taken in the 7th round at No. 252 overall, Dayes’ contract will be worth about $2.464 million, with a $64,284 signing bonus over four years, according to OverTheCap's pre-determined draft chart. His cap hit in 2017 will be roughly $481,071, which is the lowest among the running backs on the roster.
Dayes was the team's 10th player selected in the draft, their only running back picked, and the second of their two seventh-round picks. He is 5-8, 205-pounds and played college football at N.C. State. Dayes will wear No. 37 with the Browns.
