SS Jabrill Peppers signs his participation agreement for rookie minicamp

NFL: Cleveland Browns-Press Conference Ken Blaze-USA TODAY Sports

Following up on our Day 1 recap of Cleveland Browns rookie minicamp, on Saturday a Browns spokesman announced that SS Jabrill Peppers has signed his participation agreement. That will allow him to fully participate in practices on Saturday and Sunday.

Per Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal, the agreement “promises players who have yet to sign their contracts that their deals will be honored in the event of injury.” It is still unclear why Peppers’ agent advised his client not to sign the agreement like the other nine draft picks did prior to Friday’s practice.
