According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, it sounds like the Cleveland Browns could be close to adding a veteran cornerback to their roster. Rapoport says that the Browns’ coaches had dinner with Jason McCourty Monday night and he is taking a physical in Berea today:
Ex-#Titans CB Jason McCourty had dinner with #Browns coaches & brass last night & visiting the facility today, per source. Taking a physical

Just a few days ago, McCourty had said that about 7-8 teams were interested in him, and he’s said that at 29 years old, he’s hoping to go somewhere he can play for a Super Bowl. In that sense, the Browns don’t exactly fit the bill. But, there’s a reason why McCourty hasn’t signed on to a team yet, and it’s probably because he’s not getting the type of “final big contract” he’d like to have after missing 14 games to injury over the past two years in Tennessee.
