The Cleveland Browns signed DT Caleb Brantley on Thursday. He was one of two Browns players to sign on Friday, which means the team has now signed seven members of their ten-man draft class.
Taken in the 6th round at No. 185 overall, Brantley’s contract will be worth about $2.580 million, with a $179,988 signing bonus over four years, according to OverTheCap's pre-determined draft chart. His cap hit in 2017 will be roughly $509,997.
Brantley was the team's 8th player selected in the draft, one of two defensive tackles picked, and their only sixth-round pick. He is 6-2, 307-pounds and played college football at Florida. Brantley will wear No. 99 with the Browns.
The Brantley signing comes just two days after he received good news that assault charges against him were being dropped.
