At the beginning of May, we posted a “help wanted” ad, seeking contributors to help with the growth of Dawgs By Nature. We were overwhelmed with over 150 applications in just a couple of days, with many candidates having strong backgrounds and worthy qualifications of the positions. After a thorough review of all candidates, we are pleased to welcome the following contributors to DBN:

Daily Contributors

We’ve brought on Andrea Hangst and Mike Hoag as our two new daily contributors! Each of them will be posting about 5-7 times per week; you’ve already seen Mike get started with a few articles this week, and you should start to see Andrea’s work this weekend.

Andrea has a very broad sports writing portfolio, covering the NFL in general, WWE, or the Browns specifically for Bleacher Report, Sports on Earth, The Comeback, Pro Football Focus, and the Orange and Brown Report. You can follow her on Twitter at @FBALL_Andrea.

Mike’s niche has focused specifically on the Browns for the past five years, through his own site Browns Beat, Bleacher Report, Yahoo, the Orange and Brown Report, and the USA Today. You can follow him on Twitter at @BrownsBeat.

Both have also done radio spots and are members of the Pro Football Writers of America (PFWA). I am thrilled to have both of them on board not just for the additional content they will produce for our readers, but because it will help free up a little more time for me to write some longer feature or opinion-based articles.

Additional Contributors

In addition, I am thrilled to welcome on three volunteer contributors who are long-time members: Joe Miller (Ez Weav), Brian Sump (Robo Dawg), and Nate Bedrossian (apocrylle).

With all the work that Joe has dedicated toward The DBN Network and his Sunday morning columns, it’s felt like he’s already been a contributor for awhile. Now, he gets to come on in an official capacity and front page privileges, which will hopefully give his fun and insightful work some more exposure.

Brian has already debuted a Terry Pluto style column at DBN, and he’ll also be on-hand to work on some other articles here and there once the news cycle is a little busier. Nate and I are in the process of carving out a niche to see what type of voids he can fulfill at DBN.

How You Can Help

With five new contributors on board, we have the resources to cover just about anything you can imagine related to the Browns! If you have ideas for some weekly features you would like to see (i.e. maybe an Around the AFC North article), please leave your suggestions in the comments down below. The only thing that I would suggest not suggesting is X’s and O’s types of articles — we understand that people always like to see those types of things.
